I love subs. So when someone told me that Firehouse has the best subs I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. The subs were very tasty and were made hot and fast. They also had one of those crazy Coke machines that makes some crazy flavors. I got the "Engineer" sub, and was pleased with everything from top to bottom. I did have a slight problem with the ordering process and what exactly they were asking me. If I was a regular this wouldn't be a problem but for the first time visitor you may have to pause for a minute or ask for clarification. Food was good, price was fair, service was friendly, and the whole place was very clean. Firehouse is definitely on my list of places to stop by again.

The smokehouse beef and cheddar...AWESOME. I get it every time I stop in and its always great! I also love the fact that they show their appreciate for first responders by offering a free medium drink, itmight not be alot but its a nice gesture.

Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar...dear god it's amazing. Firehouse subs is awesome...it's also awesome how they have the most packed donation bin of all...for first responders. The place is clean, well lit and the staff is very friendly. Highly suggest!

My wife and I have eaten here many times and plan on returning many more times. Sub's are great. They're fresh and served quickly. Very friendly staff. They have so many sauces to try and they're very good as well.

Not bad for a new business in the area. This is definitely worth coming to over Subway any day of the week. The Italian sub was better than I expected and the pickle on the side was surprisingly delicious. The employees were hit or miss. As a new business I would expect them to be very welcoming to customers and introduce themselves and their menu options. The first employee who greeted me merely asked if I knew what I wanted. Fortunately, another employee jumped in and ran through some of the favorites and specials with me as it was my first time there. I can see myself adding this to my regular lunch stops in the area.

Pretty tasty stuff and a cool place. I had the 8" Italian which was warm enough to really bring out the flavors, but not so hot that it hid the flavors behind burning your mouth. I thought that actually said a lot about the place in that they got it just right. I mean, after all, isn't an Italian Sub just like every other Italian sub? It's what you do to it that makes it good. These guys do pretty well with it. Portions sizes are a plus. I was full, not hungry, not stuffed. It was a good feeling. They also have great sized drinks for about what you pay for the smaller drinks at other places. I liked that. The place was clean and service was pretty friendly. Some notes: -This place was founded by firemen from Jacksonville (I think) and you can really tell by the decor (lol). They have a number of ways to support firemen through their restaurant which I thought was pretty neat. You can round up your bill and give the change to the local firehall, they sell their old pickle buckets for a few bucks, and there are a few other things. Pretty neat. -They have one of those Coca-Cola "Freestyle" machines that have 150 or so flavors of pop. I love those. They even integrated their own Cherry Limeaid into the machine. -They have a hot sauce bar. YES, a HOT SAUCE BAR. All kinds of hot sauce available to you to put on your sub. They even have numbers on the bottle for you to be able to judge how hot each sauce is. This was cool. They have so many sauces too, from the basics like Tabasco to "off the wall" stuff like Al Gore's Invented Hot Sauce. ( hotsauce.com/Al-Gore-s-I… ) I've honestly never seen this before and though it was awesome. (I'm a hot sauce guy) All in all, I thought Firehouse Subs was an above average sub shop with some neat features. There isn't enough here to make me forget about every other sub in the world, but there is definitely enough to make it into my regular rotation when I want a good sandwich. I always enjoy finding another reason to avoid Subway. I plan to eat here again and it is worth your money to give it a shot.

A friend who lives in Baltimore recommended Firehouse saying he and his coworkers drive 20 minutes each way to go to lunch there. This certainly intrigued me. On our weekly Costco trip we stopped in and got two subs. We were greeted by a frumpy worker who droned, "know what you want yet?" Uh, I just walked in the door....she continued to stare blankly at me offering no advice or pleasantries. Odd. The wife opted for the medium steak and I got the New York steamer which was corned beef, pastrami, and cheese. The subs are a little small and pricey, but are very tasty. The buns are very lightly toasted and not crunchy, which I like. The meat and cheese are steamed making it juicy and tasty. They also supply you with a hoard of hot sauces to throw on your sandwiches. I went with their house bbq. Tangy, sweet, and mild. Good. The place is a nice option, but since it's kind of far from us I doubt we'll be back. Reading other's reviews it seems like they need to work on their employees too.

Delish subs! Got the smokehouse and cheddar to take home after shopping trip. Husband got Italian combo and then proceeded to talk about it all night. Decor was cute--very clean and well cared for. We will be back.

Ate there for the first and last time. They put enough mayo on my Italian sub for three sandwiches. Wasn't heated through either. My husband over heard one of the staff say" Jesus .... that looks gross" while the other kid was making it. To which the other said" shh. It's that guys sandwich" well unfortunately I have to agree

PROS: The sub shop was located in a nice little quaint strip mall outside of Pittsburgh, PA. The lobby was very clean and had a new kiosk style soda machine. The subs were definitely delicious. What else could you ask for in Pennsyltucky? CONS: The shop is close to Pittsburgh. :(
